The Role
The HR Generalist provides essential administrative and coordination support across recruitment, personnel placement, supervision, and data management. This role supports hiring processes, maintains accurate staff and volunteer records, and helps ensure individuals are effectively matched to programs based on organizational needs.
Working closely with supervisors and program teams, the HR Generalist supports day-to-day staff and volunteer engagement, tracks progress and performance, and contributes to smooth program operations. This role also supports data entry, reporting, and administrative functions that strengthen overall service delivery and organizational efficiency.

What You’ll Do
Recruitment & Personnel Support

  • Assist with the full cycle of recruitment, including posting job opportunities, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and preparing interview materials
  • Support onboarding processes by coordinating reference checks, gathering background information, and preparing intake documentation
  • Work with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and match candidates to appropriate roles based on skills, experience, and program requirements
  • Maintain organized personnel files and recruitment records in alignment with organizational and privacy standards
Placement & Program Coordination

  • Assist in assigning staff and volunteers to programs based on organizational needs, qualifications, and availability
  • Provide administrative support for placement processes, including updating schedules, confirming assignments, and communicating changes
  • Track participation, progress, and performance, and flag any concerns or gaps to supervisors
Supervision & Staff Support

  • Help monitor attendance, performance, and compliance with organizational policies
  • Provide support in addressing minor workplace concerns and direct staff to appropriate resources or escalate as needed
Data Entry & Reporting

  • Collect, enter, and maintain accurate data related to recruitment, placements, training, timesheets, and program participation
  • Prepare reports, summaries, and statistics to support program evaluation and workforce planning
  • Ensure data is securely stored and regularly updated to meet reporting and compliance requirements
Program & Administrative Support

  • Maintain communication with staff, volunteers, and internal teams to ensure strong coordination
  • Support supervisors in evaluating staffing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, scheduling, document preparation, and communications
Other Duties as Required

  • Assist with mobilizing and coordinating volunteer resources as needed
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support to ensure effective program delivery.

Work Schedule
This position follows a part-time schedule of 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. 
Monday & Friday: Work from home
Tuesday – Thursday: In-office in Calgary

Compensation

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
